Jeff was a member of the BayStar family, and was loved by pretty much all of us. I met Jeff back in 1994 when I was hired with BayStar. He always had a unique way of making people laugh. His jokes were classic. Jeff, rest in peace. We will all miss you.

Jeff: A good friend and colleague. Probably one of the most universally loved people I've ever known. - Sometimes the line-of-duty runs much thinner than any of us could wish. I'll miss you always.

I knew Jeff thru Baystar. I'm so sorry to hear about him. Wish he would have reached out to someone for help and stuck out the lows of our 40s. May he rest in peace.

Bye, Jeffrey Rhodes. You will be missed !! You were a big part of the San Mateo County EMS family. This is a great loss. Jeff was a genuine guy. A good-natured man with a big heart. Jeff, I wish I had the chance to tell you how much I respected you as a person and as a comrade. May God be with you and your family.

Is there a way to donate to Jeff's family? I'd like to donate to their future. Who or where do I send the check to?

Jeff Rhodes was my preceptor's partner during my internship in 1996 with Baystar. His genuine sense of humor and laid-back personality made my internship bearable, and during the process we became good friends and I learned from his tremendous ability as a paramedic. He would crack jokes and make me smile during a time in my life when I really needed to laugh. I feel honored that I had the opportunity to know him and be his friend because he really was a true friend. You will be missed by many, Jeff, may you rest in peace.

I've known Jeff since the Baystar days. So since 1994 for me. Always a mellow, easygoing guy. Very loving and caring and great person to be around. He was missed when he left AMR and went to Pacifica Fire (my hometown, by the way), but we all still got to run into to him every now and then. I just saw him in December working. He will be missed very much. Everybody is having a hard time. To you, Jeff, rest in peace, my friend. ~Bernadette~

Rest in peace, Jeff. My thoughts are with your family at this very hard time. You were a great paramedic partner, a sweet man, and your patients were lucky to have you.

Firefighter Jeff Rhodes was a much loved member of our Firefighter Family as well as our personal family. He and his family are steadfast in our prayers. He was a loyal friend, and a respected colleague of my husband Andy Sloane. Our hearts go out to the family and friends, the department and the communities of Pacifica and Brentwood to have suffered such a devastating loss.
