Jeff Rhodes was my preceptor's partner during my internship in 1996 with Baystar. His genuine sense of humor and laid-back personality made my internship bearable, and during the process we became good friends and I learned from his tremendous ability as a paramedic. He would crack jokes and make me smile during a time in my life when I really needed to laugh. I feel honored that I had the opportunity to know him and be his friend because he really was a true friend. You will be missed by many, Jeff, may you rest in peace.

He was missed when he left AMR and went to Pacifica Fire (my hometown, by the way), but we all still got to run into to him every now and then. I just saw him in December working. Firefighter Jeff Rhodes was a much loved member of our Firefighter Family as well as our personal family. He and his family are steadfast in our prayers. He was a loyal friend, and a respected colleague of my husband Andy Sloane.
