Global Warming: Never Too Late to Stop It
Although it is blown off the front page by elections and financial news, global warming is still occurring at an alarming rate. We ignore this information at our own peril—and certain calamity in our children's future and their children's lives. In one year (2006-2007), the ice in the minimum Arctic sea ice decreased by half: MELTING ICE. What will the lack of a food chain in the ocean mean for humans? For animals? The source of the above story is a study by Stanford professor Kevin Arrigo and his colleagues Gert van Dijken and Sudeshna Pabi.
We consumers can at least do the bare minimum for preventing greenhouse gases; conserving our resources; asking our local, state, and federal governments to address this change by implementing low- or no-carbon-footprint solutions to our consumption of food, transportation, and other goods. Some resources on what we can all do to prevent the worst effects of global warming: STOP GLOBAL WARMING
