Pacifica Eats Well: New Taqueria, Sushi Bar, Indian Buffet, More to Come
I stopped into Joe Murillo's new Green Enchilada yesterday at lunchtime, and it was packed. Saw Sue Digre in line, and said hello. The Green Enchilada looks very new and shiny inside; the layout reminds me of the always-busy Papalote's on Fulton and Masonic in San Francisco, so hopefully that's a good sign. The customers at Green Enchilada seemed happy with what they were getting. It's nice to see organic Mexican food get its day in the sun (or fog, as the case may be).
I also went by the new sushi place in Manor on Monday, where Raymond's Chinese used to be. I haven't been in there yet, but I grabbed their to-go menu. Their prices (for everything except the sashimi, of course) looked surprisingly reasonable and affordable to me, so I'll definitely stop in there soon.
Between those two, plus the Indian/Pakistani place in Rockaway, and the rumored new Derek Burns eatery next to the bowling alley, it looks like the restaurant business in Pacifica is on a path upward.

i can personally attest to the sheer awesomeness of the Ocean of India on 1 in Rockaway; Farz whips up a mean Chana Masala Karahi and Saag Paneer.
