Playing the bully by casting aspersions at one's political registration is so...1984 ish. Honey, where's my old '84 Dem convention pass, the thought police are knocking at the door again! Oh, wait never mind this is America, whew. As for my pseudonym, come on, you really didn't think Mrs. Marr named her kid Linty? Time to beam me up, "Scotty".

No, your attitude is disappointingly cynical, but I wouldn't use the term "snarky".
For those who don't remember, Linty was the diehard "Democrat" who decided to vote for McCain after Hillary didn't get the nod. I would place that Republican ploy right up there with choosing a pseudonym that isn't actually a name.

Re: Scotty. I came to my senses and gave that up years ago. If so called "progressives" were to throw off the mantle of anti-Semitism I might pick-up the habit again. Too snarky?

Aren't you supposed to be pretending that you're a progressive Democrat?

An example of blind moral inversion if there ever was one, read: http://www.spectator.co.uk/melaniephillips/3204131/the-moral-battleground.thtml

I'm all for an end to the bloodshed. But I can't see how signing a petition will end a conflict that has lasted for a century and is actively continued by both sides.
In addition, this organization "has shown solidarity with the people and the Bolivarian government of Venezuela, with organized labor in repressive Colombia, and with those fighting for self-determination in Puerto Rico and Hawaii." So I can't really throw myself behind it.

Right on, Steve.

This is garbage. I don't pay attention to people or websites or petitions that place all of the blame on one side.
Both the Israelis and Palestinians are collectively to blame for what's going on in Gaza. They each poke and prod and incite the other, and are quick to point the finger when the other side reacts, but refuse to recognize their own role in prolonging the violence.
