The whole gist of the article is phony baloney. It is not about the center for the developmentally disabled. That is just an emotional crowbar being used to jack the property value and rationalize a massively out of scale and inappropriate office park. The parking lots and multistory buildings for the office park dwarf the residential center and are where the money is. The office park is also where the vast bulk of the environmental damage and violation of the Coastal Act would occur.

If most of your attention is directed to the (also inappropriate and poorly located for its residents) residence facility, you will take your eye off the pitch coming in high and hard at the head of the midcoast.
