Tribune "Endorsements" Online Only
Community Editorial Board endorsements were not in the print edition, with only a week before the election. The board deadlocked on Campbell and O'Neill for the two-year seat but endorsed Ervin and Nihart for the four-year seat. (O'Neill, Ervin, and Nihart won.) Kudos to the editorial board for its due diligence on this important election. It's just a shame that the Tribune botched delivery of this critical information just before the election.

Wow, when is an endorsement not an endorsement. Just try reading the process for the two-year seat -- who knows what the Trib's endorsement is?

Jane Northrop told me ithe omission was an oversight by the person who puts the paper together.

"Curiouser and curiouser!" cried Alice.

Thanks for posting this, John. I would have never seen it otherwise, as I subscribe to the print edition and it wouldn't occur to me to check the online version for omissions.
I can't help but wonder if this just wasn't a mistake or oversight on the Trib's part, as it seems like a lot of time and energy was spent in the interview process and subsequent write-up.
Hopefully one of the Community Editorial Board members will drop in and share their thoughts here about what happened.
