On a cold, windy, and rainy Saturday night, some two dozen coastsiders held a candlelight vigil in remembrance of the many lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut the day before. The vigil at the corner of Linda Mar and Highway 1 in Pacifica was held in conjunction with MoveOn.org and other groups worldwide. Vigil participants recommended these groups working to stop violence:

Senator Feinstein is introducing legislation, but it does not look like it would prevent the kind of violent mass murders that are becoming so common these days in America's public spaces:

Let's get the law updated so that people who purchase guns are held responsible; automatic/semiautomatic weapons are not available; chemical tracers are part of a gun so that a bullet can be traced back to the registered gun from which it was fired; and lead bullets are a thing of the past.
