Petitioning for a Trader Joe's? Don't waste your time. Any such business decision by Trader Joe's to locate in Pacifica would be based on a professional cost/benefit analysis. Trader Joe's could not care less about petitions.

Trader Joe's looked at the vacant storefront on Crespi, where Central Market once was. We passed due to bad parking layout. We looked around but could not find a space that suited us in Pacifica.

Trader Joe's previously indicated that it isn't interested in opening a store in Pacifica, but if F&E closes, the storefront would be a perfect location for a Trader Joe's -- it's just about the perfect size, LEED certified, and beautifully designed. And both nearby TJs are getting pretty crowded these days. Get your petitions ready!
(EDITOR'S NOTE: I second that!)

I wonder how Pacifica F&E sales compare with the rest of the F&E chain in the U.S. I remember that during Pacifica F&E's first weeks of operation, shopping had noticeably declined at Linda Mar Safeway. But no longer so. Any thoughts?
