Sensational Catch of the Day

Eddie Deserved a Better Photo Caption Than This

Read the second sentence very carefully:

"Legendary Half Moon Bay pilot Eddie Andreini soars in his restored P-51D Mustang, the Primo Branco, during an airshow. His life was tragically cut short while performing in a May 4 crash at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield." (photo caption from the front page of the Pacifica Tribune, May 28)

The photo caption was written by Groucho Marx right after he quipped, "One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know."

I stand corrected!

hacks is a local paint and body shop across the street from the palmetto micky-d's. I had a foot peg on my MC break off just down the road from them and they welded it back on for free. Nice folks

My all-time favorite Pacifica Tribune headline was so hilarious I cut it out. It was a sports article with this undecipherable title: "Hack's Body smash Brewers".

My best guess is that Hack is a large wrestler, laying out his plan to keep a brewpub from opening in the neighborhood.

Typical example of poor sentence structure and, even worse, slipshod editing. I would hope the newspaper would do a clarification and an apology -- quickly.
