Droughtbuster: Water District's Bob Lange Saves the Day

Bravo to Bob Lange of North Coast County Water District (NCCWD), who responded to my concern about swimmers wasting water in the showers at Brink Pool. Bob went to the pool and gave the supervisor new laminated drought-alert signs to hang up in the men’s and women’s showers. Bob also met with Gary Hoffschneider, superintendent in charge of Oceana High Shool facilities, and gave him low-flow showerheads and timers to install in the pool showers. I thanked Bob and told him we should pray for rain. He replied that we might also have to do some rain dances.

Really nice local action story. Good on the pair of you, especially Bob for proving that government can be a force for good.
