The Netherlands does a good job of holding back the sea.

Who can afford to hold back the sea? Even all of California's taxbase couldn't hold it back!

City of Pacifica Planning Department assures us that a pending Emergency Coastal Permit for "placement of rock at 1070 Palmetto" will be issued by January 25, 2016.

Just north of Recology, which has suffered massive erosion in the past few years and has plans to add 150 tons of stormwater storage capacity on its site:

This has to be private contractors. The City of Pacifica Public Works Department does not have this kind of equipment.
