Pacificans Resist #RealDonaldTrump

Progress & Democracy

Michele Coxon says President Trump is taking the country in the wrong direction (see her op-ed at the link above), but Pacificans are pushing back. Coastside United for Action (the local arm of Indivisible) meets Monday, March 20; Monday, April 17; and Monday, May 15, all at 6:30 p.m., Pacifica Coastside Museum (Little Brown Church), 1850 Francisco Boulevard, Sharp Park. Email: CoastsideUnited4Action@gmail.com. Two other resistance groups are forming in Pacifica, and our sources say that all three groups are talking and planning together.

Authorities temporarily shut down the spillway because of massive erosion but then reopened it to prevent water from overtopping the dam, and for the first time in history had to use the emergency spillway to relieve rising water pressure on the dam. Some 200,000 residents downstream were evacuated as a precaution but now have returned home (see photos below).
