San Mateo County Superior Court accepts applications to serve on the Civil Grand Jury from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. The Civil Grand Jury performs a vital independent citizen watchdog function over county and city governments. It chooses its own investigation subjects and publishes reports that highlight findings and make recommendations for improvement. County citizens able to commit an estimated 15 to 20 hours per week to this effort should apply by March 30, 2017.
