A space weather balloon launched June 23 captured remarkable spherical images of California's historic snowpack from the stratosphere (above 90,000 feet). They show the Sierra Nevada covered in snow despite early-summer heat over 110 F at the base of the range. Explore interactive 360-degree images on the Earth to Sky Calculus Facebook page.
"I live on Talbot Avenue and had a prowler [see above] this past Saturday night. She boldly came onto our property and walked around our house with flashlight in hand looking in all windows and doors at 11:42 p.m. while we were all home. I have four children, and she spent several minutes leering into their bedroom windows, which has left me very disturbed. I actually feel sick over it. If anyone recognizes her, please contact Pacifica Police ASAP. I have video as well." (Concerned citizen)
