Nice Bear, Not-So-Nice Message

ATT4526391

Riptide reader Betty Schultz got this photo and caption from someone she calls a "redneck" friend: "The photo above captures a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect U.S. wildlife. Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs of belonging to the Democratic Party...as they have apparently learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide for their care and sustenance. This photo is of a Democrat black bear in Montana nicknamed Bearack Obearma."

You're disrespecting the Commander in Chief.

Lighten up. It's a great idea and you're jealous you didn't come up with it.

This lazy, thieving, shiftless, bear waiting for a government handout is undoubtedly the CEO of BEAR Stearns.

Or maybe AIG. Or Merrill Lynch. Or Lehman Brothers.

This Republican bear is waiting to sponge our hard-earned money off of us, and gamble it away foolishly on credit default swaps, invasions of Iraq, or other unregulated, highly-risky craps games. Then when they've gambled away it all, they'll come back to the government, demanding us to give them more!

I say enough of these no-good, panhandling Republican bears. Kick them to the curb for good.

It is a disturbing trend. But it should not surprise anyone. We are removing wildlife habitat at an ever increasing pace: they either work with us or find no food at all and die.

Ways to help wildlife include:
1) keep open space in your community
2) Do not add roads to wilderness, parks, national monuments and other open space.
3) Plant native plants in your yard-- it's much richer for birds and other animals-- and you do not have to water once native plants are established.
