Shotspotter: Tracking Things That Go Bump in the Night

Get Details Here
Are you sick of hearing loud explosions all over town, but no sirens descending on the guilty parties? Maybe Pacifica should look into installing something like Shotspotter, a highly effective tracking system used in other communities to help police track down bad guys who illegally fire their guns, explode devices, and otherwise disturb the peace.

PC, it sounds like a stagehand using leftover primer cord from an EFX gag. We had one in our neighborhood for a while. I knew him and his extended stagehand family, so I couldn't turn him in, but sounds like you have a similar infestation of stagehands.

I live near Linda Mar shopping center and there are always big explosions near here. Today is 11/27 and at 8:43 p.m. there was an explosion big enough to rattle windows. It was somewhere near old coast highway, opposite the nursing home. It wasn't pinheads with fireworks or firearms, it sounded more like a cannon. This happens a lot. We used to think they had something to do with the tunnel, but since the tunnel opened, it must be something else. Someone has serious explosives and they get off on setting them off too near the town. Can't the cops do anything about it?

There seems to have been a spike in loud booms and explosions in Manor and East Sharp Park. These are not the work of early fireworks or firecrackers/bottle rockets. Last night my neighbor's mailbox was the target, and exploded into shrapnel with a 30-foot range; luckily no one was hurt. The car was heard speeding off just before the explosion. I wonder if this is the cause of the other booms we hear almost every other night? I would like to know what is being done about it before someone gets seriously hurt?

I am generally against government monitoring of citizens. If this can be limited to gunshots and explosions, I can support it. I don't consider shooting guns or setting off explosives in neighborhoods to be a right.
