Don't know what it is like nowadays, but when I was in textbook publishing, a "meeting-free environment" was sometimes used by headhunters as an enticement to go to work for one company or another.

So you can thank your lucky stars that you never had to sit through one of these white-collar brain drains.

Why, John, why would you show this to unsuspecting blue-collar people like me? WHYYYYY?

I've been in that conference call -- several times. And my dog barked.
