That story was on Law & Order SVU. But it's okay. Mariska Hargitay does this to a lot of people!

They even had the guys breaking the windows of the downtown Oakland Sears store on the show.

My nephew was missing for 10 days. My brother filed a Missing Persons Report. I used my nephew's Facebook page and found him in 20 minutes. I grabbed him from Occupy Oakland (by then it was just a homeless camp), brought him here, and he slept off the effects of WETFHWO for the next 18 hours.

An Alameda detective called to ask if he was here. When I told the detective I found my nephew's whereabouts in 20 minutesw on Facebook, he was blown away. He told me the camp was going to be cleared for the second time that coming weekend, and I told him I thought that was a very good thing.

Social media work in a million ways.

A palindrome-loving, by-the-book Pacifica police officer denies ever tweeting on the job: "Post online? Me? Nil; not SOP!"
