How about a streetcar line right down the middle of Highway 1 between Linda Mar and Colma BART?

A more direct bus route would certainly help, but I like the light-rail plan better.

They have one now; not very many people ride it because of the time it takes for the commute. On the very few days I know I will be parked at my desk and not traveling site to site, I drive to BART and take it. It's 45 minutes from door to door. If I park at the Linda Mar Park 'n Ride, it's 1 1/2 hours or more door to door. Plus, when I drive, I run my errands on the other side of the hill (Target, etc.) for things I can't get easily in Pacifica. That way, I combine trips and save my Saturday for the fun of home improvements :)

How about effective feeder bus service to Caltrain and BART -- much cheaper and easier than building a train system -- and Measure A monies may apply.
