A beachwalker at Sharp Park recently found hundreds of blobs of tar on the beach. Tim Sutton of Pacifica Beach Coalition took the photo above and posted it on the coalition's Facebook page.

Tim: Dont be so sure it's oil; could be waste from the sewer plant. Wash your hands really well.

Yes!
Yesterday, I came to Sharp Park Beach, and picked up 11.5 lbs of trash, including approx 1.5 lbs or 35 pieces of blobs of tar. They range in size from a quarter to a small pancake. They are not sticky, but still very pliable and very aromatic.
