According to comments on NextDoor, Luigi's Italian Restaurant at Adobe Square in Linda Mar has been burglarized and vandalized, but we have not yet confirmed this other than a verbal acknowledgment from a woman who answered the phone at Luigi's that there had been a break-in. Related comments on NextDoor and from our sources indicate that other break-ins have recently occurred at Spindrift Theater and Sanchez Library, where a safe was stolen. If you have information about any of these crimes, please call Pacifica Police. Stay tuned.

According to an article in the Chronicle a couple of weeks ago, Pacifica has the lowest police staffing in the Bay Area among cities with more than 25,000 people: 1 employee per 1,052 residents per capita.

Rough crowd at that convenience store near Luigi's.
Perhaps the Chamber of Commerce can work with Chief Steidle, use some of its funds to help local small businesses install protective systems? Big businesses like 7-Eleven, Safeway, etc. have protection.
