Congressman Cummings asks House Oversight Committee to review Trump's secret financials.
Congressman Cummings questions Trump's suspiciously cozy relationship with Vladimir Putin.
Howard Zinn wrote this back in 2004, but even today living under the Trumpocracy, this article gives us a glimmer of hope. Believe in change, believe in chaos.

It's sad, we have a president-elect who never planned on winning and doesn't seem to have any viable plan for relinquishing his commercial empire. Yet, anyway.
One has to wonder, how does Trump plan on managing and hopefully growing a healthy U.S. economy? Given Trump's isolationist views, impossible promise to bring back middle class low-skilled jobs, and corporate bankruptcies -- we're surprised the markets are as ebullient as they appear. Are traders just putting a good face on it? Or is everyone missing the fundamentals?
Hillary Clinton has 1.7 million more popular votes than Trump -- and still counting.

Of course, the shallow hypocrisy and insanity of a Trump in any position with influence over our lives needs to be exposed and trumpeted. "Coming together" is the last thing we need at this time because it means capitulation to some truly ugly aspects of large segments of our political hierarchy and abandonment of hope for improvement in our national situation for the years in our near future. Elizabeth Warren is nothing less than a national treasure for her motivation and ability to talk facts and truth to self-and-wealth-serving creeps.
But I can only wonder if the gross stupidities and extensive corruption of candidate Hillary Clinton, her campaign, and the brutally misdirected, old-hat Democratic Party would have been just as much a topic of exchange on Riptide and in Pacifica's political circles had she won the election.

Update, Friday, 5 p.m. EST, November 18, 2016:
According to Buzzfeed, phones were flooded with calls, and numbers to Chair Jason Chaffetz and the HOC were apparently turned off sometime Friday afternoon. Chaffetz told the Wall Street Journal that he would look at the Democrats’ letter, but that there would need to be a direct link between Trump’s investments and the federal government.
