Coastal trails and parks are open again after a week of repairs for storm damage. The only remaining closure we know of is the Esplanade access trail down to the Manor/Mussel Rock beaches. Scroll down to see our January 2 post with photos of the Esplanade sinkhole and repair job underway (though there may not be enough cement in the world to seal that gap in the cliff).

Note to KRON reporter: the man was found in his car, not their car; the car was lying on its left side, not laying; the GPS was pinging, not pining; the rescuers used a rope system to rappel down the cliff, not repel; the GPS was the man's only hope of rescue, not his only saving grace.
