I hope people previously unfamiliar with SAMCAR and SAMCEDA and the interference of these industry groups in the politics and governments of San Mateo County are learning something.

When asked his opinion of the petitioners' rap to prospective signers, a Pacifica palindrome lover replied, "Rent rap? Story rots, partner!"

I don't know how much SAMCAR is paying these guys, but I can tell you for sure it's not enough to afford an apartment in Pacifica.

Yes, these are paid professional signature gatherers. The guy I talked to this morning who was in front of the Linda Mar Safeway said he's been doing this for 28 years.

Just for clarification--these are paid signature gatherers (and nose-punchers), right?

After I witnessed the guy lying to the African American woman, I decided to stick around to make sure voters knew the truth before they signed. After about half an hour, he said to me, "This is what's gonna happen. You either go away or I punch you in the face." Apparently another petitioner made a similar threat to another citizen the same day.
