Someday, someone will eventually figure out how to harness the energy of children and all our energy problems will be solved.

If it isn't getting its electricity from distributed energy sources in already developed sacrifice areas, it isn't truly green. Solar and wind farms and landscapes bulldozed away for geothermal projects--and the transmission lines these massive projects require--destroy the environment unnecessarily. The mineral resources they require, the processing of those resources into materials, and their construction make their creation anything but free of greenhouse gas generation. More and more local environmental groups with knowledge from boots-on-the-ground experience, especially in our deserts, are becoming engaged in fighting big, politically "feel good" alternative-energy projects.
