Considering the gravity of the situation, I imagine Trump wanted to know if it is true Putin is worth more than Bezos, maybe several times as much. Trump's returns could only show him to be puny next to either of them.

Per David Cay Johnston: If you want an investigation of Trump’s taxes, keep calling Governor Cuomo at 518-474-8390 and demand that he give state AG Underwood criminal authority. Otherwise she has only civil authority.
