I am so sad to hear this news. What a handsome, talented, and fun guy!
My brother, nephews, and son are all surfers and lifeguards with L.A. County, so I feel part of the lifeguard family feeling your loss at this time.

Garrett, Kristina and I are in shock. So many great memories from HMB water polo. Love and comfort from the Kerns.

Malcolm's mom posted the following on Facebook earlier today:

Dear family and friends- our hearts are sad and we will miss this young adult forever but let’s enjoy what he taught us- what he wants us to do and be- always try to better yourself- find and follow your passions- eat- gosh he loved to eat and cook- go surf! Go swim! Go hike! Go run the trails- he loved Montara mountain and of course every beach between here and pescadero! Go party and hang with friends! Kiss your pets! Go to New Leaf ! Play music and think of him and how he touched your life. Please PLEASE please post pictures tell us those stories of this beautiful human whose smile made us all feel loved. One of Malcolm’s most recent and favorite quotes was “SHOW UP and BE KIND” ( thanks Marcus for the quote) let’s all try to honor him by doing just that ...thank you for all the calls and txt all the support- we will need this not just now but as time marches forward - I love you Malcolm Conrad Feix thank you for blessing my life with all that you did over the last 20 years. You are a hard act to follow but damn I am going try!

Very sad. I know his dad who was so proud of Malcolm.

I am so sorry to hear this awful news. Malcolm was such a fantastic young man. Condolences from the Rosoffs.

What a shame.
