i haven't read the TRIB in years, there's been no point at all as the editor had given up on the locals long ago.

Whatever your opinion of the HMB Review, it suffered a significant loss last week with the departure of its crackerjack local news reporter Carina Woudenberg. Dec. 28 was her last day at the Review. (Previously Woudenberg reported for the Pacifica Tribune, whose then-editor wanted to hire her full time, but it wasn't in the budget.)

The HMB review may not be perfect, but it's head and shoulders above what the Tribune has devolved into.

Why would one look to the Half Moon Bay Review for unbiased journalistic objectivity, integrity, and comprehensive local coverage? So far, the new ownership doesn't seem any better than the old in those regards.

My 25-year Pacifica Tribune subscription runs out in January and I’m not renewing either. I hope the Half Moon Bay Review is aware of all these cancellations of the Tribune by old-timer subscribers and will therefore increase its coverage of Pacifica.

Ditto! After one year subscription, I have not renewed for the same reasons. Shameful editor.

I agree with that note writer!
