I just found out about Avril (Ruth) passing. I knew her and her brother Paul when we were teenagers in Winnipeg. Avril had a larger-than-life presence. Rest in peace, Sister. Condolences to her family.

Avril was a unique, caring, and creative person. She was the mother of one of my second-graders years ago, but her memory stayed with me. My condolences to Serenity and Ian. I hope Todd is right that you are dancing among the stars.
