In this article, the woman who has a sign with a (wrong-way) slash through the words "managed retreat" claims that "'the public has rights to the beach, but I apparently don’t have rights to my house,' she said after one particularly heated meeting that pitted homeowners against conservationists."
What she's REALLY asking -- without saying so directly -- is for OTHER people to fund her property protection. As if they could. Or would.
