My memory is a bit foggy, but I think this is the most citations yet. A good sign.

San Bruno is the only other city in San Mateo County that allows for the July 4 holiday sale and use of approved fireworks. Here's how that city's July 4 police wrap-up compares to Pacifica's: "The San Bruno Police Department had 49 department personnel on hand for the 4th of July Holiday and conducted proactive enforcement of illegal fireworks violations in addition to responding to citizen complaints. Officers responded to approximately 147 fireworks related calls for service and 21 arrests were made for the possession and/or use of illegal fireworks. Those arrested were released after being issued an administrative citation. The penalty for receiving an administrative citation for the possession/use of illegal fireworks is a $1,000 fine. A total of approximately 65 pounds of illegal fireworks were seized."
