The 7-Eleven decision by the Pacifica Planning Commission has been appealed. The appeal will be heard by City Council on Monday, September 23 at 7 p.m.

Thanks, Sharon, we too have some photos of rusting barrels marked "hazardous waste" from the west side of the 7-Eleven at 700 Hickey Boulevard.
We'll likely be presenting those to the State of California independently.

Go, Dan!! You rock. There is no excuse for this kind of blatantly illegal behavior. Please DO formally report 7-Eleven to the PD and to ABC re the illegal alcohol sales because this is ridiculous. It is disappointing that (1) you had to uncover this issue, and (2) that your facts seem to have had very little real impact on the people who are charged with looking out for us.
Re the noncompliance with other conditions of approval, we regular homeowners get quickly cited by code for having trash cans that can be seen from the street (not trash, just the cans), so why is this company being given ANY pass for letting trash accumulate on its property?

The nice thing is no matter when you want to start your day-drinking, 7-Eleven will be there to sell you alcohol, regardless of state or local law intended to prevent that transaction. /sarc

I happen to know that Dan doesn't start drinking until after 6 a.m., so he's in the clear.

Thanks, Alan, we're good.
Long story made short, 7-Eleven has continued to illegally sell alcohol 24 hours a day.
Each of these violations is a 15-day suspension.

Dan, you'd better be careful about sharing your receipts for alcohol purchase between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. There's a corollary to the law that prevents California merchants from selling alcohol between those hours. It states that customers cannot PURCHASE alcohol between those hours. It's to prevent customers like you from plopping down the correct amount of money and walking out of the store.
