More closing of barn doors after the animals have escaped. Enforcement of simple, common-sense measures to stop the spread of the virus at all levels of local and state government has been lax and, therefore, ineffective, to say the least. "Reopening" has been a farce, given the nature of the disease. But, most of all, noncompliance by large numbers of ignorant, self-centered, impatient people is prolonging the impacts of the disease--literally killing those most vulnerable and putting our daily lives on hold unnecessarily for extra months, maybe years for some. The most informed, best-laid plans for overcoming an outbreak like this one mean nothing if they can't be implemented.
