Took my 3-lb. dog out to potty at 1 a.m. Wednesday and came face to face with a juvenile puma. It was eating out of my bird feeder. Less than FOUR FEET away from me. (I’m in Vallemar.) It did not fear me. We locked eyes as I slid my door shut and calmly told it to leave. Thank God I don’t let my dog run out at night. He would have been a bite-size morsel. Then Friday morning there was a LOT of fresh blood on my concrete patio. Was way too much to have been a kitty playing with bird.
