Agenda item 10 -- agenda packet, page 174 POTENTIAL REVENUE MEASURES. Next steps at agenda packet, page 177, as below:
1. Further work on assessing the feasibility of placing one or more revenue measures on the November 2022 ballot.
2. Retaining a firm to work with the city on educational outreach and public engagement on the potential revenue measure.
3. Returning to City Council for a decision on moving ahead with a revenue measure -- most likely in April.
4. If council moves ahead with a revenue measure, developing the proposed ordinance(s) and ballot measures on a timeline to meet county ballot requirements -- likely in May or June.
(Editorial comment by Anonymous: This means council will use tax dollars to campaign for the tax and “educate” taxpayers and do “outreach” (pro-tax mail) to taxpayers, even if the taxpayer opposes the tax. And you can be assured no opposing voices will be allowed in the taxpayer-funded “education” outreach.)
